I developed my love for nature-based art at a very young age, watching Bob Ross re-runs on Saturday mornings. Since then I have developed my own style through mostly low-wide angle, exposure blending, travel photography. My photography is meant to give new perspectives and to shift ones ideas of the subject matter given. Most of my photography takes place on planned trips and I do outside research for the best spots and times to shoot. If I have an available image for reference, I imagine myself at the spot taking a photo. This helps my process for when I’m actually in the setting. It makes taking the photo faster, so I waste no time setting up my shot or trying to figure out what would look most pleasing to the eye.

With so many travel photographs out there, it almost seems impossible to become noticed. One of my main inspirations today is a photographer named Trey Ratcliff. His personal style is like none other, and his style has helped shift mine into something more unique. Almost all of my work in every medium of art is nature based. I have obsession with the outdoors and sustainability and one day hope to work for a company that also shares the same interests with the environment as me. Ensuring the work I am doing is what I love.

With a low-angled shot, I create a new perspective. I like the idea of forced perspective shots; especially ones that can physically make the viewer experience something new. With my angle, it is almost as if you are watching the world from a mouse’s view.

The motivation behind my work is the idea of just doing what I love and being happy. I love my photography and am very proud of it. If it were to change it would be because I want it to change, not because somebody else is changing it. I one day hope to use my photography as a way to document and show, environmental problems that are occurring globally.
